I really want to give special thanks to Ann Roberts and Charlie Culbertson, who were with me at the corner of Burke and York on Friday morning, waiving to commuters.  They stayed with me even when the rain started coming down pretty heavy after 8am. That’s the kind of support that really inspires me to work hard as a candidate, and with your help & votes, work hard as a Delegate.

TACOP - National Night Out - Group Photo

One of the things about being a candidate who remembers when the Beatles were a new group, and when telephones were connected by wires, is that it takes a while to figure out how to do my own “blog” entries. I am finally up and ready with that and want to mention how cool it was to be with the Towson Area Citizens on Patrol for National Night Out. We met at the Towson Place Shopping Center (Goucher & Putty Hill) and took a group photo (that’s me in the green shirt) and then drove through much of the 42nd  District in a caravan with cars from neighborhoods with COP chapters and police cards & fire trucks with sirens blaring. I was going to try to post a video too, with the sirens and so on, but it didn’t work. I’ll try it on Facebook, check out the Art Buist for Delegate FB page to see if I got it to work.

As you can see, we finally have a website that reflects the movement of the campaign and can be updated easily. Keep coming back because we will adding a lot more information about me and the campaign in the coming weeks.

A little over a week ago I added to the campaign Gonzales Research & Marketing Strategies, Inc., (Patrick Gonzales and Laslo Boyd) who are providing overall guidance and strategy. (see press release)

This week, we also found our full-time permanent Campaign Manager, Ann Roberts. You will be hearing a lot more about her and from her as the campaign progresses. (see press release)

And we have scheduled a major fundraiser for July 22nd. There is a lot more about the fundraiser elsewhere on the website.

Basically, keep coming back to the website for updates. Sign-up for e-mail updates when we get that setup, and participate in whatever way you can as we march toward the September Primary, and from there to the General Election, which will provide the means to bring new ideas and new ways to look at things with Art Buist as your New Voice in Annapolis.
